Does anyone actually know what they want to do when they \"grow up\"? Growing up as a second generation British Asian, all I knew was that I had to get a stable job and work hard so I could buy nice clothes, a nice car, a big house etc. Simply putting your head down and working long hours to complete as much as possible in a given day was effectively the work ethic I had unknowingly adopted. But then it hit me. I can work smarter - not harder, and still achieve the same results but not to the detriment of my work life balance. So how do I work smarter you might ask? Automation. Gen AI. Real-time analytics. And not forgetting a great team. I\'m rather fortunate to be in a position at Deloitte where I work with an incredible team who have an array of skills and knowledge and are capable of implementing a lot of these amazing and wonderful things to our clients to help ease congestion and streamline their processes to free up that valuable time for more important things. Change doesn\'t have to be significant to make a big impact, sometimes the simplest of solutions can be the right answer. This is what I enjoy, problem solving and helping people.Having that weight suddenly be lifted off your shoulders is something that everyone should experience. But be warned, you\'ll have more time than you know what to do with! Maybe I\'ll start looking for that nice big house…
