   A Swiss based global miner and producer of industrial minerals and a worldwide distributor of specialty chemicals having operations over 50 countries.PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT:• Responsible as site finance leader, and partner with Plant Manager and operations team to identify, develop and monitor key performance indicators aligned with operational goals. • Review and analyze plant’s operating costs in detail and partner with plant leadership team to develop action plan to reduce costs and increase profitability and enhance long-term efficiencyBUDGETING & FORECASTING:• Lead preparation of plant’s business planning process that includes review of BOM & routing, standard cost changes in SAP, plant production capacity, energy rates, headcount, material prices etc. • Collaborate with Ops team in preparing monthly forecasts and provide plant leadership team with commentary for all major variances (process orders/material/cost center) vs plan and PY forecastFINANCIAL REPORTING & ANALYSIS:• Lead plant’s month/quarter/year-end closing in collaboration with SSC at regional HQ ensuring accuracy, integrity and completeness of financial statements• Review, compare major variances against budget/prior year, and present financial report pack to regional leaders for review and actionsCAPITAL PROJECT & FIXED ASSETS:• Review capital acquisition request (CAR) business justification in SharePoint ensuring project costs, timeline and documentations are in line with company policy• Ensure plant’s fixed assets (FA) records are accurate, lead annual physical asset verification identifying obsolete assets and perform impairments per policyINVENTORY & INTERNAL CONTROL:• Review and monitor cycle count of spare parts, RM, WIP and FG inventory making sure variances are correctly adjusted to reflect accurate inventory on BS• Ensure internal controls are effective and maintained across all business transactions and Omya policies and procedures are followed
