As a Senior Counselor at Willow Lake Day Camp, I managed the day-to-day camp experience for 25+ children ages 7-10, covering a diverse range of activities including sports instruction, swimming, project adventure, and arts & crafts. In this role, I ensured camper safety, fostered positive group dynamics, and created an inclusive environment where every child could thrive and develop confidence.I trained and mentored five junior counselors in conflict resolution techniques as well as health and safety protocols, ensuring consistent quality across all camp programming. Beyond direct camper supervision, I assisted camp leadership in organizing social events for counselors and coordinating special events for campers, contributing to the overall camp culture and experience. This role developed my ability to adapt quickly to unexpected situations, communicate effectively with children and parents, and lead a team in a dynamic environment.
