Michael J Demoratz, LCSW, CCM, PhD has 39 years experience in end of life and senior care. Nationally recognized as a subject matter expert in end-of-life care, having presented at hundreds of conferences nationally, publishing numerous articles and two books Dying 101: A Short Course on Living for the Terminally Ill and Dying 101: A Candid Conversation on Terminal Illness. Actively involved in both the fields of Social Work and Case Management, he is a former National Case Management Society of America (CMSA) Board member and Local Los Angeles Chapter President, he received the Distinguished National Case Manager of the Year by the organization in 2001. Presently, serves as an elected Commissioner on the board for the Commission for Case Manager Certification based in New Jersey.
