ABOUT TAUSIQUE RAZA
Motivated researcher in livestock and aquatic animal health, with hands-on experience in molecular biology, microbial diagnostics, and experimental trials across both laboratory and field settings. I specialize in applying molecular and immunological tools—PCR, qPCR, CRISPR, and histological techniques—to investigate viral and bacterial pathogens, with a growing interest in proteomics and metabolic network analysis.My recent work under the NSPAAD-funded project focused on optimizing molecular diagnostics for Tilapia parvovirus (TiPV) in farmed tilapia, where I developed a robust PCR-based screening protocol and contributed valuable insights into TiPV epidemiology. I’ve also supported NABL accreditation efforts by performing witness tests for molecular pathogen detection and taught practical biotechnology modules to M.F.Sc students, covering DNA/RNA extraction, PCR workflows, and pathogen screening.Driven by a strong One Health perspective, I integrate animal, environmental, and microbial interactions in my research and thrive in interdisciplinary and international collaborations. Currently, I’m contributing to CRISPR-based vaccine development under the NPGET initiative at ICAR-IVRI, aiming to advance livestock health through genome editing technologies.
