   Project Procurement of Steel Plant Equipment (Blast Furnaces, Ladle Furnaces, Continuous Casters, Hot Strip Mills, etc). Responsible for the procurement of heavy fabrication, forging, and machining items, including vendor negotiations and development. Handles commercial terms for long-term partners, claim settlements, new supplier development, supplier relationship management, and contract management.Key Responsibilities:1. Procure heavy fabrication and critical items for Steel Melting Shop, LHF, RH, Caster, HSM, Furnace, and CSP, including heavy forgings and castings.2. Assign the right equipment to the right supplier to ensure optimal quality and timely delivery.3. Conduct thorough study of drawings to minimize ambiguity.4. Ensure orders are placed within budget while maximizing profitability.5. Coordinate with suppliers, design, and project teams to suggest drawing modifications that reduce costs without compromising functionality. Manage intercompany coordination for HSM equipment manufactured in China. Apply learnings from past projects to new procurement orders. Resolve post-order issues by collaborating with suppliers and cross functional teams. Address and resolve open QAP points between suppliers and the QA team. Handle claim settlements with suppliers effectively.
