ABOUT SHAHRIAR ISLAM
I am interested in carrying out research on the issues of global governance, comparative politics, prevention of violence and mass atrocity and broader aspects of public affairs and governance. I am currently looking at the role of intergenerational memory of genocide in describing the perception of trust in governance in Bangladesh. I also possess an interest in developing countries\' politics and governance. My focus includes countries from South Asia, Africa, and Latin America. I have published on these issues and working to disseminate my current research findings. Apart from the research, I enjoy teaching courses that match research interest. I taught courses like public administration, politics and government, political economy, human development, public service foundation. I always enjoy working on organizing conference events and other social or community programs involving students, academics and community members. I possess the skills of data preparation and analysis by using SPSS, STATA, and Nvivo. I always prefer to meet people from different communities, countries, and cultures as I believe a multicultural practice to develop intercultural competency at the workplace is highly important in the age of globalization.
