ABOUT RUYEL MIAH
I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, aiming to deepen my expertise in soil mechanics, ground improvement, and sustainable infrastructure. My journey began with a strong academic foundation, graduating by earning \"5 Vice Chancellor’s Awards and 3 Dean’s Awards\" for academic excellence during my undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering.With over 3 years of experience as a highway engineer on national projects in Bangladesh, I’ve worked on the planning, design, and supervision of major road networks, including 4-lane main carriageways and service lanes. These projects sharpened my skills in practical geotechnical applications, construction supervision, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Key Interests:* Ground improvement techniques (preloading, sand drains, surcharging)* Pavement-subgrade interaction* Soil-structure interaction* Infrastructure resilience & sustainability* Research and development in geotechnical materials Career Vision: To contribute to the advancement of geotechnical engineering through applied research and practice.
