In 2009, I wrote my first line of code.But the real story starts a year before that.I was 17. Class 12. Science stream. Jharkhand.My chemistry was weak. And I knew it.I did the math - not in chemistry, but in life:\"If I fail chemistry, my father will stop my education. We can\'t afford another attempt. This is it.\"My father already had a backup plan ready anyway:\".\'.\"He wasn\'t saying it to hurt me. He was saying it because that\'s what Jharkhand offered. That\'s what the system gave families like ours - one path, no choices.But I couldn\'t see myself underground.I wanted to build things. Digital things. Things that didn\'t exist yet.So I made a move.I left science stream. Enrolled in Diploma in Computer Engineering.Not the prestigious route. Not the route people respected.But my route.My father didn\'t fully understand it. Our village definitely didn\'t.But in 2009 - I started coding.And something clicked that never stopped clicking.I moved out of Jharkhand. I kept building.Ericsson. Technicolor. Accion Labs. Machine learning. Generative AI. A decade of writing code for companies and products that reached millions.But I never forgot where I came from.Because here\'s what haunts me.I went back and looked at Jharkhand.Then UP. Bihar. Chhattisgarh. Odisha.The classrooms looked exactly the same as when I left in 2008.The kid sitting in the back row - weak in one subject, terrified that one exam will shut every door - that kid still exists. Everywhere. In millions.Cities got malls. Got metros. Got fast internet.But the village student - still the same struggle. Still the same broken system.The fear I felt at 17 staring at a chemistry paper?Millions of kids feel it every single day.
