Cris has offered strategic finance and HR support services for small businesses and nonprofit organizations in the advocacy, arts, and food justice arenas.A former specialty foods buyer, documentary videographer, nonprofit auditor and accounting instructor, Cris has a diverse background in working with small businesses, cooperatives, and nonprofit organizations. In the accounting realm, they performed review and audit engagements of primarily small businesses and nonprofits and later served as senior consultant with a firm providing consulting, accounting, and planning services exclusively to nonprofits. In the HR realm, they have implemented diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and guided the process of aligning organization culture and values to mission.Cris graduated on the Dean\'s List from Duke University and is proud to have earned an accounting degree from Durham Technical Community College where they won honors in accounting and finance competitions at the state and national levels. Cris also served as an accounting instructor and on Durham Tech’s accounting curriculum advisory committee. Cris enjoys networking and making noise.
