The Ad Astra Institute for Science Fiction & the Speculative Imagination is a not-for-profit umbrella organization for all things SF that we and our affiliates offer! We bring creators, readers, educators, and fans of SF together to learn about and create speculative fiction through writing workshops, expert talks, seminars, and much more to come. Originally established as a KU Center in 2021, we have grown into a independent Institute carrying on our adult-education program begun in the 1990s. The people we work with create and teach art that opens minds and imaginations, reaching for the stars and \"Saving the world through science fiction!\"
