About McKenna Jenkins

McKenna Jenkins is a Policy and Executive Associate at NextGen Policy where she directly supports the Executive Director, Legislative/Policy Manager, and Development team. She is responsible for tracking, monitoring, and the advocacy coordination around NGP\'s bill, budget, program, and regulatory priorities. She also manages the operational functions and processes for the organization. McKenna supports the development team on fundraising and internal operations. She also supports NextGen’s higher education policy initiatives. Prior to joining NextGen Policy, McKenna served as a Legislative Advocate with K Street Consulting where she lead on California local and state-wide policy initiatives related to cannabis, education, animal rights, energy sovereignty, community partnerships, and cultural preservation. McKenna led multi-state digital advocacy campaigns and specialized in grassroots coalition building. Jenkins holds a B.A in Political Science and a Minor in Sociology from California State University, Sonoma, where she led the university’s Model United Nations team to international victory, two years in a row.
