My work sits at the intersection of people, policy, and operations—supporting individuals while strengthening the systems designed to serve them through clear processes, ethical decision-making, and collaborative problem-solving.Previously, I served as a Social Worker with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, managing complex, high-stakes caseloads within the juvenile court system. This role required strong coordination, risk assessment, crisis response, service navigation, and the preparation of detailed, court-ready documentation. I collaborated regularly with legal professionals, medical providers, educators, behavioral health teams, and community partners to support informed decisions related to safety, permanency, and service delivery.I currently serve as a Board Member with the Nebraska Foster Care Review Office, contributing to formal case reviews, compliance findings, and system-level recommendations that promote accountability, efficiency, and improved outcomes. I also volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Douglas County, where I analyze complex information, synthesize findings, and provide written recommendations to the court focused on safety, stability, and long-term planning.In addition to my professional background, I am a semi-finalist in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest, an internationally competitive program recognizing excellence in writing. This reflects my strengths in analytical thinking, narrative clarity, and communicating complex ideas in engaging and meaningful ways—skills I apply across policy, education, and systems-focused work.I hold a Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice and am currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
