About Chris Miller

I am a food and beverage sales and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience behind me and many more in front. I got my start as a bus-boy extraordinaire at a private country club in Virginia Beach. While clearing dirty dishes off of the tables was an important job, it wasn’t tremendously exciting for me. I chose to branch out, learn new things and eventually found myself as the Food & Beverage Director. A few years later, it was time for a new challenge and I decided to open my own place. Serving as the Operating Partner to a very talented team, we won some pretty cool awards and I learned a lot. Today, I work at the largest and most successful food service distribution company in the world. Today, my job is to help our Associates develop their skills and reach whatever goals they may have. I’m a total geek for: operational systems, employee training, marketing, social media, advertising, graphic design, menu engineering, concept development, networking, hospitality, customer-service, relationship building, leadership, winning, fun, reading, indie-rock, cookbooks, baseball, and integrity. I find myself being motivated by those around me. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to be surrounded by so many talented and inspiring people. There is a great sense of achievement to be had when you can assemble a team and watch them do great things. I love to solve problems but I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t know everything (yet).
