Michelle Chenault is the owner of M Chenault Management Consulting, LLC, bringing more than 18 years of experience supporting entrepreneurs, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations within the professional services sector. Her work centers on government contracting readiness, access to capital, and program and operations management.Michelle partners closely with founders and organizational leaders to assess operational capacity, identify gaps, and convert strategy into practical systems, processes, and documentation that are compliant, scalable, and sustainable. Her approach emphasizes clarity, accountability, and alignment between mission, operations, and funding requirements.She has worked across a wide range of industries and regularly collaborates with nonprofit organizations and small businesses focused on strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems. As an experienced technical writer, Michelle supports clients in developing government RFP responses, business plans, and grant proposals, ensuring submissions are well-structured, responsive, and grounded in operational reality.In addition to her consulting practice, Michelle serves as a Mastermind Counselor for the Houston Women’s Business Center (WBC) and acts as Chief Operating Officer for The Center for Micro-Entrepreneurial Training (CMET), where she contributes to program design, implementation, and organizational growth. She is also a judge and mentor for MassChallenge and gBETA Social Impact, and has served as a Houston Community College Business Plan Competition advisor for four consecutive years.Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from San Francisco State University and a Master of Business Administration from Mills College Graduate School of Business. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys golf, following sports, and expanding her knowledge of wine, having earned her WSET Level II certification from the Texas Wine School.
