ABOUT MICHAEL MCCAW

I am a second-generation higher education administrator committed to leading a climate of professional and personal development. I have developed numerous mentoring programs in higher education focused on connecting people across campus and empowering individuals to pursue their goals. As an administrator, I manage faculty information systems and deliver impactful trainings and change management informed communications to build awareness and competency. I ensure faculty data is accurate, relevant, and reportable to inform priorities and initiatives. As a University citizen, I volunteer my time as an engaged leader, thought partner, and innovative collaborator to advocate for administrative staff and to ensure meaningful partnerships are formed in University governance. I create strategic plans, connect and develop future leaders, and commit to following through while building a culture of accountability and inclusion. I am a record-tying four time chairperson for the Administrative Management Council. As an adjunct faculty member, I strive to infuse evidence-informed research and practical, real-world scenarios to ensure my undergraduate students have the most helpful information and perspectives. This insures that my students receive the best training possible and inspires me to stay on top of my game.As an individual, I love story-telling. As a podcast host and as a frequent participant on panel discussions, I genuinely love to share my thoughts and learn the perspectives of others.
