As a major contributor of our tax division, I train our staff member on how to input personal income tax return info into our tax software. I review these returns, contact and clients, and make any necessary changes before they are finalized. I am responsible for the bookkeeping for over 25 business clients, and I review the bookkeeping done by others in the firm. Accurate financials are key to my role at Barringer CPA. I do all our business income tax returns to the extent of my certification. Amending personal and business returns is another one of my responsibilities. I do the bank reconciliations, cut bank remittance checks, and perform other financial functions related to a multi-million-dollar loan consortium client of ours. Working with this client has allowed me to develop an attention to detail and an appreciation for a system of checks and balances. I can start a business from scratch with my knowledge of the proper filings. Reserving names, incorporating entities, registering for federal & state tax accounts, filing business privilege tax returns, filing POA\'s, and filing s-corp elections are common-place for me now. This has been a particular interest of mine because of the myriad of side hustles I run. Payroll is a concentration of mine at Barringer CPA. I oversee 25+ payrolls ranging from single member LLCs to large, well-known Birmingham companies. I have registered for necessary accounts to setup payrolls, I have filed required payroll tax filings, and I have successfully shut down payrolls. The Paycheck Protection Program has been my best moment in that I have been the main resource for our firm on the topic. I have applied for over in financial assistance for our clients.
