ABOUT BOGDAN SIRBU
PhD in the plasmonics/nanophotonics from the Technical University Berlin. Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Politecnica Univerity of Madrid. Current position as research scientist with the Photonics and Plasmonics Systems group at Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration (IZM Berlin). Engaged in research activities on optical interconnects technologies for datacenter applications, PIC packaging and 3D heterogeneous integration. Involved in several EU‐funded and national R&D projects: HEU ALLEGRO, HEU PROMETHEUS, HEU OCTAPUS, HEU ADOPTION, SNS JU 6G-MUSICAL, H2020 MASSTART, ECSEL APPLAUSE, H2020 5G-PHOS, H2020 L3MATRIX, FP7 PhoxTroT, FP7 iPHOS or FP7 RAMPLAS.
