About Michael Shane

I\'ve surrounded myself with digital products and technology since I built my first PC and taught myself HTML and Perl as a kid. I trained from a young age as a classical musician, and my experiences as an artist shape the way I see the world, digital products, and the people who use them. My approach to solving problems is equal parts art and science. I\'ve helped build a start up, led large corporate teams, and thrived working solo by combining technical fluency with creativity, empathy, passion for telling persuasive stories, and designing great experiences.Since transitioning from a career performing classical music to increasingly senior roles in digital publishing, product strategy, and business development, my work has focused on cross-functional leadership and program management that bridges technical complexity with business impact and human understanding. My passion for learning, talent for synthesis and translation, comfort with ambiguity, data, and research, and strong ability to read the room and connect with people from diverse backgrounds at all levels of seniority has supported me in leadership roles with clients and colleagues from diverse industries.

   I represent Launch and lead strategic global programs across NTT DATA that advance collaboration and generate new business opportunities. I partner closely with the Client Growth Office on our largest, most strategic pursuits; build business cases and guide industry- and technology-focused funding initiatives with headquarters in Japan; support our work with Japanese multinational clients operating in the United States; and drive the development of a unified global operating model for our CX practices in partnership with leaders from strategy, design, and engineering.
