ABOUT MICHAEL B.
From leading a startup produce brand that landed in grocery stores, to structuring trade policy and market systems across 30+ countries, my path has been guided by one principle: transformation happens when bold strategy meets practical tools. In new startup businesses, I was given the freedom—to create, launch, and lead. That early experience taught me how innovation and trust can reshape an industry. Later, I applied that same energy to public sector work, managing large-scale agriculture and economic development projects for USAID, Deloitte, and World Vision. Whether advising governments on food safety or building inclusive supply chains that lift entire communities, I’ve always been drawn to work that sits at the intersection of business, policy, and social change. What fuels me most is strategy—not just the playbook, but the “why” behind it. I enjoy building partnerships that bridge the public and private sectors, particularly when the goal is to create a lasting impact through better policy and smarter systems. I’m deeply interested in how economic development, agriculture, and trade reform can work together to build equity and resilience. Today, I’m exploring global leadership roles or advisory opportunities that combine policy innovation, agribusiness strategy, and transformational development. I’m open to full-time, consulting, or global assignments that benefit from a perspective shaped in both the boardroom and the field.
