About Mark Bowman

The main language spoken and understood throughout the world includes a ball, and however you want to set up four goal posts. I have spent my life playing the sport of soccer (futball), and learning the details of the sport and how it is played and coached. I grew up in the North Africa, playing soccer from the age of 3, out in the neighborhood with friends, on an academy team, and continued playing through college. Spending 15 years in North Africa, gave me the great opportunity to learn multiple languages, including fluently learning French and Arabic, on top of my English mother tongue.I have coached soccer from youth to NCAA Division I, and have also learned from my experience working with Sporting Kansas City\'s youth affiliate network. I have had multiple positions with college teams, including Goalkeepers Coach at University of Valley Forge, and Volunteer Assistant Coach at Liberty University, Assistant Coach and Interim Head Coach at NCAA DII University of Mount Olive, and currently Head Coach at North Carolina Wesleyan University.I have my USSF D-level coaching license, Welsh FA C Coaching Certificate, USSF level 8 and VHSL referee licenses, United Soccer Coaches’ Goalkeeper 2 Diploma, and PFSA Level 1 Scouting Certificates.Coaching soccer has become my passion and my dream. I am continually searching for ways to become a better coach and lead my players in a more informed, knowledgeable, and confident manner. My current aspirations to get my Master\'s Degree in Applied Sport & Performance Psychology is a great example of that continuous search to improve myself and my coaching abilities.
