Designed and delivered lululemon’s multilingual IVR platform for all North American and European stores, replacing a difficult-to-maintain Twilio Studio implementation with an API Gateway– and Lambda-driven architecture backed by SQS, DynamoDB, and Kafka for PowerBI reporting. Built a SOLID-compliant OOP framework with reusable TwiML components, applying GoF design principles to improve maintainability and speed of development. Added ring-all store calling with phone-availability detection, standardized request handling and URL-building, introduced a clear exception hierarchy and offline-phone detection, and orchestrated stage-specific TwiML through sequential Lambda executions. The platform reduced operational costs by 50%, lowered user-reported issues, and improved incident response times.• Developed an automated multilingual IVR audio-generation system using Amazon Polly to synthesize recordings from static text templates and dynamic store-specific content such as hours and schedules. Built an AWS Step Functions workflow of four Python Lambdas using ElastiCache (Redis) to cache store data and regenerate recordings only when content changed. Integrated Splunk and PagerDuty alerting, reducing operational costs by 40% and improving update times by 20%.• Assessed a legacy serverless application of 15 Lambda functions, identified architectural and code-quality gaps, and produced a scalable refactor plan with incremental, low-risk migration steps.
