ABOUT MARCO BERGAMASCO

Currently I work as Flight Mechanics Specialist in Leonardo S.p.A (Helicopter Division) where I am involved in the development of new aircrafts as well in the support of the existing ones. Ex-researcher at AgustaWestland-Politecnico Advanced Research Center. In 2013 I received the Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano defending the thesis “Continuous-time model identification with applications to rotorcraft dynamics“. I have dealt with the problem of using time and frequency-domain data in the same optimization procedure to identify a grey-box model (a quite big and old problem in the rotorcraft community). In 2008 I received the MSc in Control Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano defending a thesis about a spacecraft attitude control and estimation based on magnetometers and gyroscopes. I had the opportunity to attend an internship in the NGC Aerospace (Quebec). In 2006 I received the BSc in Control Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano defending a thesis about the train tilting allowed by a pneumatic spring control system. My present research interests include model identification and control design techniques and their applications in the rotorcraft fields.
