Key Project: preCARDIA, an investigational medical device for acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) that uses a catheter to intermittently occlude the superior vena cava to reduce fluid overload. Leading all consumable devices and accessories with a cross functional team from concept through design verification and validation through design and development activities to support 510(k) submission and IDE submissions. Supported creation of all DHF documentation, drawing specifications, preclinical studies, biocompatibility, human factors studies, verification and validation testing with CMs. Project scope included multi-lumen extrusion, die tipping, injection molding, coiling, reflow, device packaging, EO sterilization and labeling.
