ABOUT MUHAMMAD AZMAT
Dr Muhammad Azmat is Assistant Professor and Programme Director for the MSc Supply Chain Management and MSc Engineering Management programmes at Aston University. He holds a PhD in Logistics, and Supply Chain Management and a Master\'s degree in Supply Chain Management from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Management. Dr Azmat is a distinguished alumnus of the Oxford Leadership Program, University of Oxford and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).Dr Azmat\'s research acumen encompasses the interdisciplinary realm of disruptive technologies, consumer perspectives, and innovative business applications. He has been a part of several international projects in collaboration with national and multinational organizations such as the Federal Procurement Agency of Austria, ASFINAG, AISCAT, Brisa, IBTTA, and the Kühne Foundation, among others. The focus of these projects was to assess the impact of transformative technologies like electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, drone technology, Logistics 4.0, big data analytics, blockchain, and the Internet of Things on diverse business domains. With a penchant for delivering insightful recommendations, Dr Azmat has presented pioneering concepts for harnessing these technological advancements in both commercial and humanitarian contexts.
