He has designed the network architecture for Cox as it relates to: Multilayer network optimizations, Multilayer network dimensioning, Multilayer network planning, MPLS DiffServ-TE, Hybrid IP/Optical protection and restoration, Broadcast video over IP/MPLS using-TE P2MP, NG MVPN for VoD library distribution, Design the first Backbone to be PIM & BGP free core, MPLS-based L3 VPN, MPLS-based L2 VPN, The packet network architecture that Mazen has designed has allowed Cox to deliver a multi-service architecture for delivering high-speed Internet, business service VPNs, VoIP, Video over IP, and Call Center VoIP. Mazen has more than 20 years of experience in the communication fields and has a masters and bachelor degree in electrical engineering from the University of South Florida. Mazen also has numerous certifications from Juniper, Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems, and HP. Mazen is a prominent speaker in conferences and has a high regard in the industry
