ABOUT MAZAHIR AKHLAQUE

I work in logistics, which means my job is to make sure things get from Point A to Point B… even when Point B is halfway across the world, Point A isn’t ready yet, and the “thing” in question weighs more than a house. After 15+ years in shipping and freight, I’ve learned that there’s no such thing as a “simple” move—just well-planned ones. I started my career at the Shipping Corporation of India, where I managed trade lanes across the Middle East, North Continent, and Coastal operations, with annual revenues of USD 45–50 million. Along the way, I handled P&L responsibilities, balanced schedules, improved fleet utilization, and learned that getting a vessel to leave and arrive on time is a bit like conducting an orchestra—you need everyone in sync, or it doesn’t sound right. Now, in North America, I’m focused on project forwarding and multimodal logistics. That means heavy-lift cargo, OOG shipments, LCL/LTL, full loads, and the occasional “how on earth are we moving this?” kind of challenge. My work centers on planning, negotiations, and end-to-end execution—from mapping routes and securing carriers to managing RFQs/RFPs and aligning all the moving parts until the cargo is delivered safely, on time, and cost-effectively. Core Strengths • Planning and coordinating complex, multimodal shipments • Negotiating with carriers and vendors to get the best value for all sides • Managing RFQs/RFPs from submission through contract closure • Delivering smooth end-to-end logistics solutions that balance cost and service • Staying calm when situations get complicated (because they always do) I enjoy problem-solving, building strong relationships, and making logistics feel less like a headache and more like a solution. My global shipping background, now combined with hands-on North American project forwarding experience, helps me bridge both worlds effectively. Passion Areas: Project forwarding, freight planning, multimodal logistics, negotiation, and creating solutions that support businesses and people behind the cargo. If you like talking about complex shipments, smart logistics planning, or just want to swap stories about “that one cargo move that almost didn’t happen,” I’d be glad to connect.
