The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce is a Canadian multinational banking and financial services corporation The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce is the largest merger between chartered banks in Canadian history. We work on the backend systems that power various banking services, such as account management, transaction processing, and customer data management. This involves building and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure server-side components.Responsibilities:• Worked extensively in Agile (Scrum) environments, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and task estimation for user stories to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.• Developed and deployed microservices-based applications using Spring Boot, integrating Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA, while leveraging annotations to minimize XML configurations.• Integrated Apache Kafka with Spring Boot for real-time streaming and messaging, enabling seamless external system communication and data processing.• Leveraged Java 8 features like Streams, Lambda expressions, and Functional interfaces to optimize and simplify business logic within Spring Boot microservices.• Inserted dynamic document data into services, and regularly demonstrated Sprint deliverables and integration points during Agile demos and status meetings.• Created optimized SQL queries, triggers, stored procedures, and views for Oracle databases, integrating with Spring Boot services through Hibernate ORM.• Designed NoSQL document schemas and managed sessions using MongoDB to support scalable and high-performing Spring Boot microservices.• Conducted API functional and performance testing between internal and third-party applications using SoapUI and JMeter for RESTful services.• Utilized Apache Kafka for high-volume data integration and processing with Spring Boot, implementing multi-threaded message consumers for improved throughput.
