Hello! My name is Maymouna Bah, and I am a current senior at Williams College pursuing a Computer Science and Africana Studies degree. After completing my first Computer Science course at Williams College, I was captivated by the world of technology and software engineering. This field ignites my creativity and curiosity but also hones my analytical and critical thinking abilities. Through software engineering, I am empowered to innovate and contribute to the development of technologies that have the potential to positively transform our society.In our interconnected world, integrating Africana Studies with Computer Science is crucial. It ensures my technological endeavors are considerate of Black communities\' needs and histories. Africana Studies fosters skills like communication and cultural competency, enriching my problem-solving abilities. So, why am I pursuing a Computer Science and Africana Studies Major?
