Mayerlin Garcia is a financial services professional with extensive domain knowledge across areas such as corporate M&A, finance, strategy, and transformation. From 2013 to 2022, Mayerlin Garcia was a Vice President in BNY\'s Global Corporate Development Group. She helped with Corporate Strategy participating in various multi-million transactions, she managed aspects of cross-border transactions such as negotiation, sourcing, and the establishment of commercial terms. The GCD group advises the BNY\'s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), heads of businesses, and Executive Committee (EC) members on divestitures, organic growth initiatives, corporate restructuring/transformation, outsourcing/lift out opportunities, partnerships, Fintech/Digital investments and strategic ventures. During her time at BNY she worked in more than 100 M&A transactions and contributed to the execution of over 30 principal strategic investments supporting the company\'s Digital Strategy and Industry Utility consortium initiatives. Ms. Garcia also worked at other financial institutions such as JPM and Broadridge where she started as part of a selective group of managing trainees.Ms. Garcia earned her BA in economics at Stony Brook University and completed an MBA in finance and marketing. She also studied in China and gained insight into comparative and international management. She served in the Advisory Board for the College of Business at Stony Brook and was nominated 40 under 40. Ms. Garcia was part of the Dean\'s List, member of the Golden Key Society and graduated Summa Cum laude.
