ABOUT MAYDA G.

Since 1996, Mayda Gort has worked as a successful and in-demand Provider Contracting Representative for a diversity of South Florida healthcare companies. Her unique combination of outstanding organizational skills, sound judgment, and communication abilities enable her to consistently attract and retain complex client accounts, increase revenue, solve unique and complex problems, and motivate and lead teams of colleagues.Mayda joined Coventry in 2013 responsible for Provider Contracting Specialist, analysis, and negotiation support of contract agreements for all contracts pertaining to fully insured, Health Plan, PPO, corporate accounts, lease networks and workers compensations.Whether she is presenting, negotiating, or having one-on-one meetings, Ms. Gort (who is fluent in both English and Spanish) puts people at ease. Because of this, she has developed trusting and lasting relationships with physicians and other health-care personnel, hospital administrators and staff, employees in assisted-living facilities, senior citizen groups, and most recently, special needs program administrators (in fact, she obtained Broward County’s first contract in this area for Simply Healthcare Plan, an HMO). Ms. Gort’s resume includes experience working at Family Health Care Plan (an HMO) in Provider Relations, United Health Care in the Medicare Unit, Care Florida Medicaid & Medicare Unit, Tender Care Home Health in the capacity of Marketing Director, Signet Diagnostic Center as a Medical Representative, A1 Medical Imaging Center as a Business Development Representative, and, most recently as an ISNP Network Representative at the previously mentioned HMO, Simply Healthcare. She has in-depth knowledge of provider networks and systems and a deep understanding of the Mange care industry.
