What I am really good at: Helping people find hope when feeling stuck about careers and identify strategies to make that hope a reality in relation to career (and academic) success. This may be in one, or many of these forms: 1. Delivering multiculturally sensitive career counseling to individuals / small groups. Training students in a holistic, person-centered approach to take ownership of their career journeys. Applying evolving knowledge in neuroscience, cognitive behavioral therapy, and positive psychology to educate students in practicing growth mindset, resilience, and grit. Education:Ph.D. in English Literature (specialization: Victorian Literature & Gender Studies); M.A. in Counseling. Favorite movie:The Bridge on the River Kwai.
