About Mayank Gupta
I am a Software developer working at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Currently I\'m working with the EC2 Catalyst team which is responsible for building one of Earth\'s largest distributed systems - EC2 - at scale. I am a core member of the team that builds the infrastructure & automated tooling required for setting up Amazon\'s cloud in new regions. Since my undergraduate days at Delhi Technological University (DTU), I\'ve had deepened interests in Software Development, Programming and Artificial Intelligence (specifically Machine Learning & Computer Vision). After graduating from DTU in 2017, I worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Samsung Research - India (Bengaluru). I was one of the 2 engineers handling the bookmarks module of Android Samsung Internet Browser (versions 6.x to 10.x). I was also given the opportunity to work onsite at Samsung headquarters in Suwon, South Korea and provide critical support for integrating One UI - Samsung’s latest UI library within Samsung Browser app for the flagship Galaxy devices. After working for over 2 years, I decided to go for higher studies & pursued Masters in Computer Science from University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles and graduated in May 2021.It has been 1 year since I joined Amazon & I\'m still very excited about my job and hope to continue working on amazing problems with really smart people. After all, its always Day1 at Amazon :)
