ABOUT MAYA LEE BORN

I currently work as a Paralegal at Beyond Law Group’s family and child law practice, McAlister Family Law. I assist on cases acting on behalf of the Local Authority dealing with care proceedings and pre-proceedings.I recently graduated with a Distinction (First Class) in MA Law from The University of Law. Prior to this, I obtained a Bachelor of Science from The University of Bristol in Criminology. I possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills. My legal experience includes marshalling at Manchester Crown Court and Harrow Crown Court, where I shadowed resident judges in various legal proceedings. Through my degree, I have gained a broad understanding of family law and the social constructions of childhood. In addition to my legal experience, I have worked in various industries; social media, marketing, sales, and childcare. I possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a paediatric first aid level 3 certification, and an enhanced DBS check.
