Lead weekly cross-functional meeting regarding cell requests, ongoing studies, inventory of lab consumables, and allocated cells for key stakeholders. o Create agenda ahead of meeting, take meeting notes, assign action items, and centralize data (experimental outcomes, sample results from external testing, SOPs, historical data, etc.). • Manage two Research Associates (hold weekly 1:1 meeting going over experiment plans, interpret/compile data, focus on career development/building upon technical skills/building upon soft skills, and data review/verification). • Point of contact for allocation of cell needs for internal/external teams. o Assign appropriate cell lines for the specific studies (verify study requirements, create timelines, compile/present data to key stakeholders, perform QC on cells, data verification, and work with Logistics Team on sending out cells). • Procure appropriate tissue for R&D and PD purposes (communicate cross-functionally to budget for the upcoming month’s tissue requirements, review Donor Tissue Information Forms to assess if the tissue can be used, work with CorneaGen and Logistics Team to set up shipment of tissue, coordinate within Cell Production Team for tissue isolation/seeding). • Participate in Process Characterization efforts with the Process Development team (work on gap assessment between SOP and BPR, record data into BPR/Benchling, isolate tissues, culture cells, work with study lead on timelines, and take inventory of spent media samples). o Participate in Process Characterization Workshop regarding study design workflow, inventory of critical materials/consumables, assessment of critical process parameters, and regulatory guidelines.
