About Maya Scanlon
Incoming masters student at UC Santa Barbara Bren School of Environmental Science and Management. UC Berkeley Alumni (2025) with a BS in Ecosystem Management and Forestry along with a minor in Conservation and Resource Studies through the College of Natural Resources. I focused on making my degree as interdisciplinary as possible and having gained experience in fire ecology, fisheries research, landscape planning, rangeland management, and forestry, I feel prepared for my future research pursuits. I have various professional and extracurricular experiences that have helped me develop my critical thinking and problem-solving skills in team settings. I’m looking for opportunities where I can continue to develop and use these skills while also applying my scientific background, specifically in anadromous fisheries throughout the Pacific Northwest.
