My name is Maya Russ. I graduated from Mayfield High School, where I was part of the Excel Tech program starting my junior year. I studied Cosmetology and obtained my license. During the program, I completed an internship that helped me enhance many key skills, particularly in client communication and attention to detail. At the start of the summer after my senior year, I began working at The Country Club in Pepper Pike, Ohio, where I hold two roles. I initially started as a food runner and cook in the Soda Grill, and more recently, also became a server. These positions have provided me with a broad skill set, including exceptional customer service, adaptability, multitasking, and efficiency in fast-paced settings. As a server, I engage with guests, take orders, and ensure their satisfaction. When in the kitchen of Soda Grill, I prepare meals, help maintain smooth operations by upholding food safety standards, staying organized, and assisting with food running. These roles have refined my ability to manage various tasks while maintaining quality service. Now in college, I am studying business with a strong interest in real estate and marketing/digital marketing. I am highly analytical and driven to succeed in all my endeavors. Throughout my time at Ohio University, I have developed and strengthened skills in business analysis, teamwork, communication, and operational efficiency. Currently, as part of the Integrated Business Cluster, I am gaining knowledge in market research, data visualization, cross-functional collaboration, and business startup practices. This experience has further enhanced my adaptability, both within teams and in learning new concepts. I believe my background in hospitality and customer service has sharpened my multitasking, time management, and service quality skills. Additionally, I feel my attention to detail, strong interpersonal abilities, and adaptability help to make me a well-rounded and valuable asset in academic and professional settings.
