Through the humanism-centered curriculum of this program, I have had the privilege and responsibility to delve into the essence of who I am beyond being a pre-medical student. My involvement in community-based mental health advocacy and on-campus involvement in DEI initiatives have been transformative experiences that have fostered my growth as an empathetic leader and a creative problem solver. The abundant opportunities available at UC to engage in meaningful initiatives have instilled in me a deep sense of purpose in my pre-medical journey, teaching me that being a compassionate human being is the foundation for becoming a better physician. Rooted in authenticity and empathy, I look forward to embarking on the next phase of my academic journey with a passion for continuous growth and a commitment to making a positive impact in the field of medicine.
