Appointed Editor-in-Chief of The Durham Tab (2025–2026) after joining as a student writer in 2024.• As of October 2025, my articles have over page views.• Lead and coordinate a team of student journalists, setting editorial direction and managing content output.• Produce written content on a wide range of topics, including campus news, cultural reviews, opinion pieces, and trends.• Conduct interviews and manage the full editorial process, from ideation to publication.• Uphold editorial standards and ensure content is timely, engaging, unique, and aligned with our style guide.• Hold frequent meetings to ensure that content is consistent, engaging, and relevant.• Help run and manage socials for our writers to create a community and energise our team. This includes creating trend content for Instagram and TikTok, managing groups for writers, and uploading all articles to both Instagram and Facebook. I am also experienced in using Canva to create content.• Send out commissions frequently, before editing, uploading, and publishing them. • Liaise with the University’s press team and other relevant actors for statements / feedback to make sure our content is as high-quality as possible.
