About Maxwellmax Lehman

Max Lehman is an LA-based comedian/writer/actor that remains a New Yorker, through and through, proudly raised by Jewish neurotic New Yorkers an hour outside of New York City in the cowboy-hat-wearing-techno -pumping-countryside of northern New Jersey. Max graduated from Hofstra University in 2012 with a double major in English and Drama. He studied improv at UCB, scene study with the Actors Alliance Studio in NYC, and completed the UCLA Professional Screenwriting Program. Max has performed stand-up in New York City, Los Angeles, New Jersey, Maryland, and Hawaii. Max\'s stand-up includes stories about his parents, dating, Judaism, and all those awkward interactions in between. His sets oscillate between sincerity in storytelling, and short glib spots of manic, irreverent humor whether that\'s a cheeky one-liner or a character whose very existence is a punchline. As a screenwriter, Max loves to write layered comedies with heroes you love to root for and villains we have in all of us. His blend of honest storytelling, and funny scenarios keep you turning the page until we fade to black. He has a passion for all things horror, giant monsters, and sci-fi, but savors the discovery to show us why we care when the monster says \'ouch!\' He is the quiet nerdy guy in your group turned into a manic ball of controlled chaos on the stage.
