What drives me are profound questions that challenge the status quo- How can AI tackle society\'s most pressing challenges rather than trivial pursuits- How do we create youth employment while ensuring people are protected, not just jobs- Is tomorrow worth the fight?These questions are my compass, not mere rhetoric.As UNDP South Africa\'s Resident Representative and Director of the Africa Sustainable Finance Hub since February 2024, I\'ve translated these questions into action:*Revitalising Township Economies:* Digitising ‘spaza shops’ to modernise enterprises and create sustainable youth employment opportunities.*Leveraging Critical Minerals:* Ensuring their development contributes to resilient, inclusive growth.*Enhancing Domestic Resource Mobilisation:* Supporting African governments to develop integrated financing strategies for independent, sustainable development.*Intermediating Capital:* Unlocking private investment aligned with SDGs for transformative impact.*Financing Green Transitions and Inclusion:* Changing the financial landscape to address climate priorities and reduce inequality.UNDP\'s brand offers governments an unconditional partnership, approaching with a simple question:\"How can we help you?\" This embodies our commitment to collaboration, impact, scale, and results.My journey leverages strategic partnerships and innovative financing to address hard problems, making tomorrow not just worth fighting for, but one of shared prosperity.
