Cost Saving Projects-BT1YL/ZL: BEC Shutter Bolt Removal: Removed 2 shutter bolts in front shutter structure in TSM. Utilized NVH tools to analyze steady state road vibration data targeting the hood, headlamps, and bracket modal. Resulted in $0.20 per vehicle and more than $4,200 in tooling, simpler design, and improved the manufacturing process-BT1CC/CG Header_TVA removal: Removed the Header_TVA damper in the TSM. Analyzed the course road noise data and modal analysis of the vehicle performance. Studied how the Header_TVA had minimal impacts on vehicle performance. Resulted in a simpler design, and saving $3.59 per vehicle from Header_TVA removal. DFSS Green Belt: Half Shaft Generated Axial Force SIMPACK Integration. Developed automated workflow that converts a master data sheet into 71 separate AFS files. Integrated a switch function in SIMPACK to toggle through data. This automated process was able to run 12 half-shaft simulations 72.6% faster than the manual process.
