I lead data infrastructure and data management strategy for multi‑omics research, designing and operating FAIR‑compliant platforms that support the full research data lifecycle. My work enables high‑quality, reproducible cancer research by building scalable, cloud‑native (AWS) data platforms and analysis tools for NGS and biological data. I partner closely with scientists, bioinformaticians, IT, and external collaborators to securely share and leverage data in support of advancing cancer discovery and therapeutic development at Champions Oncology.

ABOUT MAXIM SHOKHIREV
A scientist at heart, I have over 20 years of training in bioinformatics, systems biology, genomics, immunology, aging, and cancer biology. While I\'ve focused on computational approaches (scientific computing, tool development, math modeling, and machine learning), I\'ve also worked at the bench, with microscopes, flow cytometers, and sequencers. As a bioinformatician in a core, I\'ve learned how to collaborate with biologists to answer outstanding questions in cancer, aging, immunology, and metabolism using data-driven approaches. Being a director has taught me how to recruit, train, and manage a team scientists and how to advocate for their success. As the Head of Computational Biology Data Science and one of the founding members at Tally Health, I\'ve built a state of the art aging clock and recommendation engine by applying machine learning approaches to thousands of human epigenetics samples. I look forward to our next collaboration!
