ABOUT MAX PELZ
A cooperative and decisive leader, I\'m highly analytical and proactive while calm under pressure. I\'m deeply passionate about continuous improvement, emphasizing mental and physical well-being. I specialize in building high-performing teams, and I excel in managing change within fast-paced settings. With more than 3 years of experience in data analytics, I\'ve managed business intelligence at startups and scaleups. My experience spans a range of data stacks, from open-source tools like Metabase, Postgres, dbt Core, and Airflow to proprietary platforms like AWS, BigQuery, Snowflake, and Mode Analytics, to all-in-one platforms like Y42. Thereby, I gained extensive hands-on experience in multiple SQL dialects and data visualization best practices (2+ years of experience with Metabase and 1 year with Mode Analytics). As of June 2023, I\'m leading our migration to Microsoft Power BI, embracing Fabric, Microsoft\'s consolidated data analytics product. It has great potential to empower companies already on the Microsoft platform through tight integration and cost savings. My accomplishments include playing a pivotal role in forming two Customer Service teams at N26 and leading the simultaneous development of Workforce Management and Customer Care Data Analytics teams at Vivid Money. At Medbelle, I successfully maintained an open-source modern data stack in a rapidly evolving environment, focusing on refining the visualization layer and assembling an effective team. Most recently, as part of Kranus Health, I transformed an existing BI team, swiftly restructuring and securing early wins by migrating BI tools and implementing data modeling best practices for efficient workflows. After 5 months, I took on additional responsibility for CRM development and started building that team concurrently. Based on shifting needs, I implemented a management matrix to refocus my own development work.
