About Maximus Lacey
My name is Maximus Lacey, and I am a Senior Bioengineering student minoring in Material Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. My primary interests lie in therapeutic engineering and medical device design, and I aim to improve medical device production and delivery through operations and manufacturing optimization. My research experience in Dr. Harrison Kim\'s Engineering Systems and Optimization Lab along with self-guided Engineering Open House projects have allowed me to enhance my understanding of industrial and developmental processes crucial for creating engineering solutions. Acquiring skills such as cross-discipline collaboration and project management will allow me to have an impact in manufacturing and operations. Furthermore, extensive experience in managerial and logistical roles through my development in the Campus Recreation Events Department has made me a proactive leader.I am interested in opportunities within the Biomedical engineering industry that will allow me to tackle real-world engineering challenges and contribute to the creation of tangible solutions.
