Developed an advanced, full-featured native Android app written in Kotlin, Java, and C++, enabling video and GPS capture, review, cloud sync, and sharing. Integrated the Open GoPro SDK to enable remote control of cameras over Bluetooth LE, providing seamless camera control for users. Implemented real-time synchronization of video and location metadata, allowing users to visually index their sessions to exact locations on a map without scrubbing the timeline. Enabled proximity-based content discovery, allowing users to discover and incorporate video footage from other users or facilities into their sessions. Leveraged technologies such as NGINX, Spring Boot, MySQL, Wowza Media Engine, FFMPEG, and Google Location Services to build a resilient and scalable network and media APIs. Utilized Room DB for Android local data storage, ExoPlayer for video playback, and the Open GoPro SDK for seamless camera integration. Designed and developed the Woven Cloud media APIs, enabling transcoding and adaptive bitrate streaming from 320p to 1080p using HLS. Ensured optimal performance by leveraging GPU capabilities, including NVENC with NVIDIA GTX 1070, RTX 2060, RTX 3080, and VAAPI on Radeon 5700XT. Worked closely with clients to provide consulting services, optimizing their product development practices and delivering hands-on software development expertise.
