ABOUT MAXIMILIANO MARZETTI
I am a full-time legal scholar (enseignant-chercheur) at IESEG School of Management in Paris and a member of the Lille Économie Management (LEM) research center, a Joint Research Unit (UMR 9221) of the Université Catholique de Lille, affiliated with the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). In addition, I serve as a visiting professor and collaborate with several research institutions across Europe and Latin America. My approach to teaching law in a business school context goes beyond traditional legal risk management. I emphasize how legal frameworks can be leveraged as sources of strategic and competitive advantage. My teaching and research interests include intellectual property law, data protection, contract management, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, and business and human rights. Drawing on extensive professional experience as a lawyer, mediator and intellectual property consultant for both private firms and public institutions, I bring a strong sense of practical realism to the classroom. My familiarity with the legal systems and traditions of Latin America, the European Union, and the United States further enriches my comparative and interdisciplinary teaching approach.
