Working full-time alongside anesthesiologists in 22 operating rooms, I am responsible for preparing equipment for physicians, ensuring anesthesia machines are running correctly, responding to codes, and assisting difficult airways, invasive line placements and nerve blocks. On a daily basis, I work in interdisciplinary healthcare teams that are composed of anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and medical technicians to maximize patient safety and favorable health outcomes on the surgical floor.
