At Reading Partners, my mission was to identify students who were 6 months to 2 years behind grade level reading equivalency and either bring them to grade level or help them exceed their growth goals. I did this by coaching community volunteers into tutors capable of delivering lessons, observing these lessons in order to see if students needed individualized reading plans, and delivering my own tutoring sessions to students. As a Program Coordinator, I- Established the first Reading Center at PS 059, delivering 600+ lessons to K-5 students reading below grade level, helping them reach their current grade level, and nurturing a genuine love for reading- Trained and coached volunteer tutors in effective learning strategies, behavioral management, and growth mindset techniques to enhance lesson outcomes and sustain engagement- Curated, tracked, and managed learning materials and student progress using Salesforce and Excel, optimizing data organization and reporting for key stakeholders.
