With a background in physics & lithium-ion battery electrode materials, I specialise in advising international corporates, predominantly from the automotive industry, on various aspects of their electrification strategies. I am motivated by the challenge & opportunity of developing & executing strategies, that combine technological innovation with commercial as well as environmental attractiveness, to successfully navigate the industry’s historic transformation.I have experience in a breadth of strategic solutions and sectors, including carve-outs, integrations, joint ventures, market entry, business & operating model design, as well as value creation performance programmes. My project experience includes- Supporting a South African Mining & Chemicals company in the reverse-carve-out and target operating model design for the strategic reorientation of a chemicals plant in Germany- Supporting a global corporate active in the pet care sector with the integration of a European laboratory diagnostics provider across three countries- Supporting a globally leading supplier of low-voltage automotive batteries in buy-side Day-1 readiness preparations for a strategic asset deal for a Li-ion battery BU in Germany- Advising a leading German energy player in developing a carve-out and JV concept for its shipping business, in order to achieve balance sheet derisking- Advising a Tier 1 automotive supplier in carving out its global power electronics business, to facilitate future growth ambitions- Supporting a large automotive OEM in analysing a production location for a transition to BEV manufacturing, based on competitor supply chain benchmarking- Supporting a large automotive OEM in designing a business model for a JV to house a portfolio of EV-related energy products, as enablers for future EV-aggregation & flexibility trading businesses- Conducting a multinational target search for a large automotive OEM for a pan-European market entry in green electricity retail through a variety of regional acquisitions & alliances- Supporting a large automotive OEM in analysing the profitability of “3R” (recycling, repurposing, remanufacturing) End-of-Life lithium-ion battery businesses, in view of impending EU regulatory liability- Advising a large automotive OEM on defining & executing a European market entry strategy for a portfolio of energy products & services, to support EV roll-out & profitability
